Winter Wedding Outfits + LFW Discount

I’ve teamed up with Joey from the super slick fashion blog Northern Magpie and London Fashion Week Festival to bring you this post.  Joey has worked with amazing brands like Topshop, Farfetch, Popsick Vintage and Meduse and I was thrilled when she agreed to do a guest post for Devine Bride.

With the end of January in our sights, it’s time to start looking forward to the variety of different upcoming weddings this year. The more weddings you go to the more you notice such varying tastes and what makes a wedding unique to the couple in question. This also extends to the time of year. More and more couples are choosing to have winter weddings, with festive touches like mulled wine or Christmas canapes. With this in mind, the guests have to come prepared as with any wedding you will be outside at some point and that’s no fun in a floaty dress and bare legs during the chilly winter months. So here I have put together three different outfits for three different winter weddings.

The first outfit is for a country house wedding in the rural countryside. I have picked out this pansy printed silk dress with double subtle straps and cold shoulder details. To make the dress the focal point of this look I have chosen black court shoes and a black faux fur coat to keep your shoulders warm. With the toes being covered up with these shoes you could get away with wearing tights. As finishing touches I have picked out rose gold jewellery and bag which sits perfectly against the floral pattern of the dress.

For the second look I have created more of a formal outfit. The dress I have picked out has a structured look to it with stunning lace panels and a high neck. With this particular dress I would wear statement earrings like the pearl ones I have here. For a simple and elegant touch to this outfit, bringing the whole look together I have picked out this pin stud clutch bag and a pair of lace up heels. As the look is mainly all black I have added in this wool long coat, the smooth finish and nude colour of the coat will sit perfectly against the black lace details of the dress. This would be a great look for a city wedding or a more formal black tie wedding.

The final look is a relaxed outfit, that would suit a casual and not fussy wedding. With the other dresses I’ve picked out I have chosen black bases as these dresses can be worn both winter and summer. This is the same with this dress from Zara, the ditsy floral detailing gives the dress a spring feel that can be worn in winter with the long sleeves. Here I have teamed the garment with lace up block heels and I’ve picked out this brown faux fur jacket. As the ditsy print has a subtle gold colour running through the print I have chosen gold trend lead jewellery pieces and this metallic box clutch to complement the dress.

What winter weddings are you guys are heading to? And which is your favourite of the three outfits?
