The White Gallery - Favourite Alternative Wedding Dresses

Last week the Devine Bride team were invited along to The White Gallery to be treated to a preview of the most beautiful bridal wear imaginable. The White Gallery is a trade only bridal show, where only the best designers exhibit all their new season collections - not yet in stores. It was so difficult to pick our favourites but I've decided to bring you our favourite alternative wedding gowns.

I absolutely love all of Savannah Miller's designs, they're incredibly cool whilst remaining pretty. Inspired by her bohemian upbringing, Savannah Miller’s collection for AW17 is truly graceful and effortlessly sophisticated. Drawing on Savannah’s love of vintage styling and the wild English countryside, gowns are made in sumptuously rich and textured fabric, paired with simple, flattering lines and elegant silhouettes. I love how the fine mesh is delicately embroidered with stars for a floaty, romantic and flirty feel.

Next up; Claire Petitbone dresses are always effortless and ethereal with a retro twist. These wedding gowns are perfect for a bohemian love story perfect for unique, creative, and always original bride. In particular, it's the sleeves that I always love and the floaty bell styles - this with the untraditionally patterned lace made her collection really stand out to me this season.

The Sassi Holford 2017 collection defines classic elegance, with dramatic silhouettes, just look at those sleeves! Although Sassi's collection consists of a lot of bridal gowns, she's included plenty of options for brides who want to opt for separates and/or suits. The white playsuit shown above can be worn alone for a sleek and sophisticated look, but when it's teamed with the bell sleeved lace top the whole outfit is transformed into something a lot more feminine.

If you're looking for silver screen glamour on your wedding day look no further than Eliza Jane Howell. Eliza Jane Howell gowns are all hand beaded and many dresses come with extra embellishments of hand embroidery. Each dress is individually made by combining exquisite traditional and modern beading techniques and patterns for a truly vintage look. Many of her dresses are available in coloured fabrics too, in case you want to avoid the traditional ivory and white.  I love this collection, each dress is truly unique.

Katya Katya Shehurina's Morning Mist Collection captures the atmosphere and colours found in the countryside, a blend of soft pastel tones and moody blues offer a pretty alternative to white gowns. The collection features delicate silk flowers, intricate hand embroidery and fine lace whist still remaining comfortable and easy to wear.

This designer is actually a personal favourite, as I nearly wore one of new collection dresses to the UK Blog Awards this year!

Emily Victoria White designs gowns that include a selection of crepe, lace, tulle & chiffon to create a range of silhouettes for fun and modern brides. Breaking away from the expectations of traditional bridal wear, Emily creates fresh designs perfect for young brides who are looking for something a little more daring.

Charlotte Balbier is known for creating free spirited and feminine gowns for woman who love fashion. If you're not afraid to inject a little colour or pattern into your wedding dress, the Jayde or Posy gowns may be perfect for you. Charlotte also has a separates collection of inter-changeable pieces so brides can further create their own individual look.

Savin is a classic bridal brand that manages to combine traditional construction with beautifully modern silhouettes. The use of delicate embellishment and barely there prints add an extra layer of detail to their dresses, I really love the bridal biker jacket in particular, which could be easily removed to show off the clean gown underneath.

A cover-up for the ceremony, biker for your outside photos, then remove both for an evening look perhaps? This is a great brand if you're looking for something classic with an unexpected twist.

Did any of the above catch your eye too?
