The Brides Bloggers Dinner with Moet & Chandon

A few weeks ago, I was personally invited to a prestigious bloggers dinner, hosted by Brides magazine and Moet & Chandon, at The Savoy in central London.  I was beyond thrilled and couldn’t wait to attend!  The only problem was what to wear, as I was due to be setting up and decorating a corporate party the same day.  I knew I would have only 30 mins to turn myself into something Savoy-glam and also get myself from Angel to Embankment.

The dinner turned out to be a celebration of all things wedding, and Moet were there to promote their events packages as well as their mini bottles of champers with matching flutes for weddings.  They have several packages on offer for weddings, from champagne bars to mini individual bottles – buy 7 cases of the minis and Moet will personalise them for you for free…!

In true Brides mag style, there was also a selection of handpicked wedding suppliers to compliment the evening, from placemats to flower walls, which I wanted to share with you for ultimate luxury wedding inspo.

We were greeted with trays of mini Moet, then had our photos taken pap’ style in front of Maison de Fleurs’ amazing flower wall at the far end of the room.  I could barely make it to the other side of the room though because I was too busy taking photos of the dinner table… it was absolutely breath taking – scroll down to see for yourself.

We were then shown to our seats where we had the most amazing place setting laid out for each of us individually, complete with our very own personalised bottle of Moet!

A Moet representative introduced the evening by telling us a bit of history about the company, and then with each course and champagne pairing that we were served, she told us the story behind that particular bottle.  She talked us through an utterly sumptuous meal in the River Rooms at The Savoy, which was the perfect setting for each perfect pairing that evening.  I actually didn’t know so many different types of Moet existed, it was such a treat and I had to really stop myself from guzzling too much!  (We must have tried at least five different types - grapes and years - before I lost count…)

Moet is truly the perfect wedding companion; the brand was established after the (then) owner produced some sparkling wine for his daughter’s wedding back in 1743.  In addition, I learned straight from the horse’s mouth (a French representative) that the name is actually pronounced phonetically, ‘Mo-et’, with the ‘t’ as emphasised in the same manner as the other letters – definitely not the ‘Mo-ay’ annunciations myself and the other bloggers were attempting that night.

I was thoroughly wined and dined and I couldn’t have felt more treated, but aside from sharing a little bit about my evening, more importantly, I wanted to share the photos with you.

It was a luxury, geo, rose gold, pink, wedding and flower dream…. wedding perfection in my opinion:

And then... The goody bag!  (Including a box of flowers!)

Rubbing shoulders with so many influencers and suppliers at the top of their game in the London wedding industry gave me serious imposter syndrome, never mind chatting with Jade Beer (the editor of Brides magazine) and Kat Williams (of the Rock n Roll Bride empire), but I absolutely loved every minute of it and came away buzzing with champagne infused wedding décor ideas.

I’m blaming the cheese course for the crazy creative dreams I had that evening, nothing to do with the copious amounts of Moet we consumed of course…!
