Wedding Countdown – Lunch At The Gherkin

 

To mark the official countdown until our wedding (one month to go), we celebrated by going for lunch at the top of The Gherkin on Good Friday.  With most weekends of the last year taken up with the usual life vs wedding stuff, I am always keen to book little treats in advance as an extra excuse to spend some quality time together.

In celebration of the first day of spring yesterday, it seemed like a good time to refresh the blog with a new moodboard.  With sherbet shades and soft sentiments, this moodboard is perfect for spring, but would also suit a serene summer wedding too. 

A Most Curious Wedding Fair

Once you’ve been to one wedding fair, it can feel like you’ve been to them all.  That is, unless, you’ve been to the Most Curious wedding fair!  Originally set up by Becky Hoh-Hale, a former assistant editor of luxury interior design magazine IDFX, following a disheartening experience with finding creative suppliers for her own wedding in 2008.  The website quotes, “Becky remains dedicated to finding the coolest, chicest and perhaps kinda out of the ordinary things for couples to have at their weddings”.  I was sold.  (Although they had me a ‘curious’!)

Personalised Favours Like Poppy Delevingne

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be gifted some personalised cupcakes from Eat Your Photo.  Aside from obviously getting free cake, I was quite happy to endorse them as a great idea for favours or wedding treats, which they haven’t really seemed to capitalise on yet.
